26 steel reinforcement points and two 14-piece slat kids make the Atlantic Furniture Windsor Bunk Bed as sturdy as they come. With Atlantic's innovative hook and pin system, assembly is greatly simplified. The hook and pin system creates a strong, long lasting connection between the headboard and footboard. Two metal pins are embedded within the head and footboards at two positions making it easy to switch from upper height to lower height. Set the bed high for use with bed storage drawers or trundle bed or set it low for use with mattress and foundation.

Once dry, a tinted sealer (2) is applied to even the grain and color of the wood. Next, another round of sanding before the first base color coat is applied (3). More sanding and the second base color coat is applied (4). Finally there is a final sanding and the finish coat is applied (5).
