Walk Through Design
A design feature for added accessibility, Walk Through Design refers to when a Recumbent has an open space in front of the seat. This allows the rider to easily get in and out of the bike without having to lift their feet more than a couple of inches. This feature is designed for the elderly, disabled, or those recovering from an injury.

Performance Monitor
The LCD monitor on the Schwinn 230 Recumbent allows you to track time, interval time, RPM's, Watts, distance, speed, calories burned, resistance level and heart rate using the integrated hand grip sensors. It also allows you to input your workout goal for calories burned and the monitor will then countdown to that target. BR>
Workout Programs
The Schwinn 230 Recumbent features 12 programs. There are 6 pre-set courses in which the computer adjusts the resistance to take you through a workout. You can also set your desired goal for calories burned, check your BMI, Heart Rate and Pulse Recovery. Or set your own workout pace using the Manual and Quick Start modes.BR>
Front Handle Bar
The twin, straight front handle bars provides stability when getting in and out of the bike and also allow additional riding positions for variety. BR>
Seat
The Schwinn 230 Recumbent's Bio-Fit Comfort wide seat features dual position lumbar support seat back and side bolsters. The angled seat rail ensures that whatever your leg length, you'll get the correct angle to the pedals to minimize knee strain. Handles next to the seat have integrated hand grip Heart Rate sensors transmit your pulse for display on the monitor.BR>
Pedals
Wide comfort pedals feature Foot straps on the pedals allow you to pull up on the pedals, giving you more power and evenly builds your leg muscles. Easy to adjust to fit all foot sizes, just pick the slot that best fits your feet. BR>
Resistance Adjustment
The Schwinn 230 Recumbent uses magnetic resistance to provide a virtually silent biking experience. The resistance can be adjust by a push of a button on the Monitor, or choose one to the pre-set programs and let the computer adjust the resistance for you.BR>
Floor Protectors
The deluxe floor protectors on the Schwinn 230 Recumbent protect floors from being scratched and carpets from rubbing, but for even more protection we recommend an equipment mat be used underneath.
